The Discovery of Online Boggle
[info]alteine
I started playing this version of Boggle that my mom plays online. It's a 3 round game where you get to see who picked out words the others in your boggle group didn't and you can be "spotlighted" for achievements like longest word or most words from the toughest grid.

I am becoming addicted to this game haha. Word game + Competitive person = a good time.

Summer's Pinnacle: Cut Ties
[info]alteine
Yesterday was sort of the pinnacle of the summer. In short, Shaina and I have ended our friendship. I don't want to be close to her in the form of friends. You could say I've grown tired of a person.

I've been completely fine with the decision we came upon to end it, in fact I may have been waiting for it. However, I am sorry for the unfortunate time that this even did occur, since it is her birthday today and I didn't intend and don't want her to not enjoy it.

I don't hate the girl, if I did I probably wouldn't have given her the time of day and just ended it without closure. I've hated my father, and I've hated my former roommate Josh. My father and I had our qualms when I was growing up, but our bonds are much stronger now. Josh on the other hand- I have nothing for him. I don't hate him anymore, but I don't feel anything for him. In a way, that's worse than hatred I suppose because you don't even acknowledge them.

We were growing apart; we both had different views on this or that. I wanted distance and I got it. I know Ashley and Morgan are upset by this, I even called it a "divorce," but with time comes healing. I'm not afraid to be around Shaina, nor am I left awkward feeling by the thought of her. However the facade of a happy little group was probably shattered.

I've known her for around 7 years now, and it's probably the longest friendship I've held onto outside of family and next to Ashley. The problem is that it's only a unit in time, a number to measure knowing me in idea, not in person. We weren't as close as I let on. Why I didn't speak about it before, I still don't really know why. Maybe I wanted this and chose to be selfish. There are a handful of people that know me better than she thought she knew me.

Cold as it may sound, I pretty much expected/predicted her responses in our conversation. I keep out a lot of details, because this is a blog, I'm not going to justify personal thoughts and toss in other side defenses when I'll just get to this conclusion anyway. I'm not heartless- it's not like I haven't thought about them.

Bottom line: I'm done being friends with someone.

Would we one day be friends again? Only time will tell.

Same Old, but Different in an Expected Way
[info]alteine
Yesterday for the first time in a little over a month, with the exception of New Paltz, I hung out with Shaina. As expected, there was some turbulence before we got anywhere, but you have to know what you're getting into with that kind of stuff.

It was her idea to get together for dinner and ice cream, but aside from that it was pretty much not her plans at all. I was hoping that she would plan her events out, but it was a disappointment. I had already decided I didn't want to place any suggestions, since I tend to do that so often, so I was looking forward to some premeditated plans being proposed. It's not that I don't like making decisions, but I wanted to see someone who doesn't decide on anything actually do something that isn't just meaningful to themselves. Yeah, I was feeling selfish, but it was high hopes to expect my wish granted.

What ended up happening was Ashley basically being forced into the ring. I didn't expect Ashley to be put into the spotlight since she suggests activities and plus she's the driver since I don't have a car in service and Shaina just plain doesn't drive. We were tossed an idea and a time range to work with. I could have left Ashley in headlights, but that would have been an unnecessary responsibility to pile onto her. She and I ended up choosing the time, the places, and even later on in the evening- the activities.

I would have just sighed and mumbled predictable, but if I did, it wouldn't have gotten us anywhere. I got annoyed because Shaina wouldn't take a stand. I confronted her and I got a cryptic answer about democracy. I can't see not doing anything as being part of democracy- that's just being passive, being a follower, and losing out on the chance to voice out something. We had a little tiff online, but I don't think anything was really touched upon besides indecisiveness. Nor do I think anything was realized. Moving on- we had the time set for 7.

Dinner was a surprise in terms of service since we had a waitress Ashley and I had before that seemed to have done a better job than last. The food was alright, but conversation revolved around either disease or the sharing of the experiences Ashley and I had at Applebee's numerous times this past month. We all sported separate checks and then left for Carvel. We got our cones and Shaina suggested we could go to her place. I was a little surprised because earlier online I asked her if it was only dinner and ice cream, which she confirmed. I wasn't going to suggest anything because I wanted to see what she had up her sleeve.

We ended up laying in her sister Danielle's room for a long while. We were just laying and lounging around. We moved to Shaina's room, but just ended up lounging around again, but with her on her guitar. Ashley wanted to bowl, but our lethargy slashed that idea. We ended up working out on a suggestion I tossed out since there weren't other ideas going.

I told Ashley I'd go bowling with her in the future before the summer's up.

Moving on to today, it's been a wonderful day in the life. I made my meals, worked out, did some housework, etc etc. My father apparently gave my mom some money since he's not coming home for a while, so that's good.

I wish I had a car working here so I could go places without having to call a cab, but that will have to wait until my father either grows some balls and comes back or finds the papers to my car that he was trusted with.

Mom bought some groceries, yay!

Painting Was a No-no
[info]alteine
Due to the inclement weather, I did not do what was planned. Actually, my brother Christian left for the city and Joe went to a Yu-Gi-Oh! card thing, so we were left without the manual labor... I don't count haha. With that happening, painting was put on hiatus *le sigh*

We did however go grocery shopping and get a new box of contacts, so that was a plus. Aside from that, nothing really went down except me running around the house doing this and that.

Last night ended up harboring some sweet adventures. I went to dinner with Ashley at Chili's to try out their new 20$ deal. It's similar to Applebee's in that you get 1 appetizer and 2 entrees; unlike Applebee's, you also get a free dessert at Chili's. The deal was something not to pass on since their prices are higher than other places.

Dinner was fun, even though we had an odd server and a pretty dry molten cake. Ashley and I discussed and laughed over how I'll probably get into a huge argument with a friend eventually and how it probably won't affect me if I "win" or "lose" from it. I'll be fine getting rid of dirty laundry or however the phrase goes. We chatted about that and other little things. There was also this wonderful specimen in a yellow dress that just couldn't be ignored... and it wasn't because she was beautiful.

After that we needed to figure out what to do. I put 2 and 2 together and BAM- we went to see Harry Potter. How good was I with my suggestion? 10 minutes before the the next showing. Pretty much meant we should see it.

It was a good call and a ridiculous time. We sat second row, middle seats haha. We had already read the book, so seating wasn't much of a prob. There were so many creepy and funny moments to poke and jab at in the movie. It was generally good, but the film dragged on after a while. It's probably because I knew what was going to happen. If you're just a movie watcher of the Potter series, then you'll probably enjoy it.

The movie was around 2.5 hours and I was pretty much tired after that. Bed followed suit after being dropped off.

Apart from that wonderful time, today was a simple day in the life. Christian's gone for the weekend until whenever, so I can do laundry in the mornings now since he usually sleeps late and complains if the laundry room makes too much noise.

Yay for finally doing tons of laundry!

*July 19th @11:00 AM*
I would have posted this sooner, but the Cablevision's been a little wonky lately. Christian apparently came home around 6 in the morning so that ruined laundry plans until this afternoon. My father also won't be back for another 1-2 weeks. No car again. We'd have my green Taurus going if he didn't LOSE the registration papers... no plates = no car. As long as he leaves us money he can golf however much he wants. Just get with the program and realize you're turning 55 and do that stuff while being a father. Oh well~

A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That
[info]alteine
Howdy There,

So far the week's been going at a slow, but steady pace. My father was home for the weekend, but left again Tuesday morning, so the second car's gone again. I think he's coming back Sunday. The guy should just realize he's old, but I guess I can respect his wanting to get out there and do things. I just wonder if he realizes it's robbing his kids of their own youth. Oh well, he's a selfish man anyway.

I spent Wednesday afternoon with Ashley looking for potential birthday presents for her sister, Blair. It was a pretty nice adventure. I went to my first thrift store and then to a disturbing Bird Store. Disturbing as in there were birds that looked like they went through hell and back. Following that crazy joint, we went to Best Buy and found a sweet pair of dvds of the X-Men animated series that used to be on TV in the 90's. Totally awesome find, and the decided present. Our last stop was Target to get wrapping materials, cards, and such.

Other than that, I've been doing the usual stuff. I run, do calisthenics, cook, eat, etc. I'm living my life in a routine right now, which is fine- I can do regular or hectic. Unemployment has given me time to relax this summer and take things in stride. Would I do this type of summer again? Probably not, but it was good to experience the summer that I used to hope for in elementary school and see how I fare with it now.

One of the things I've recently noticed becoming more and more obvious is how two friends that were somewhat similar, actually are so similar it's uncanny. It kind of makes me laugh because they are in denial of it, but it's too much to go unnoticed. Rather than dishing on the drama, I'll just leave it at that. I probably already come off as a bitch in my entries, so there's no need to fan the flames, haha.

~~~
Well that's that. Thought I'd write an entry on what's been going on since New Paltz. I'm doing dinner with Ashley tonight which will be fun. If the entry seems disjointed, it's because I wrote it throughout the day without really going back to edit.
Excited for tonight~
(LONG POST) Home from the Paltz...
[info]alteine
...and what a journey it was. There were good times, and bad times, but thankfully it didn't overshadow the enjoyment I had.
*****RECAP*****
DAY 1:
We left Friday evening after Ashley got out of work. I was picked up first followed by Shaina. She brought her guitar with her, but I thought it was a bit unnecessary since if we are doing things with other people- chances are there wouldn't be time to play. I don't know why I didn't say anything, I guess I wanted to avoid any conflict during the time I invested for Morgan.
The drive was a long one. The Throgs Neck Bridge had apparently caught on fire earlier that day(haha) so traffic to the Whitestone Bridge was insane. What was supposed to be a 2-3 hour drive became 5-6 hours. The time went by fairly well for me as I tried to keep the traffic from getting Ashley down. I started gorging salt-water taffy with her and bringing on the nonsense.
When we finally hit the bridge we were already taffy'd out of our minds. I got to take control of the iPod player and played a song we could all sing to... "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey. It was pretty wonderful since traffic let up a bit once you got to the bridge, and Ashley had rolled the windows down as we screamed Mariah's tune to passerby. She said someone waved, which made it good times. The rest of the drive contained a rest stop for peeing and pizza, along with a slew of upbeat songs from my iTouch and idle chatter with Ashley about how the roads were so clean.
We got in after midnight, but Morgan and her housemates were still up which was a plus. We drop off our stuff and start to get relaxed and mellow out. Shaina pulled out her laptop, which really did surprise me. I figure you go on a trip to see someone, to spend time with them and not the online community, but that's her business, not mine. Her housemate Garret was working on assignments so Ashley, Morgan, her other housemate Grady, and I played some Catchphrase to pass the time. Shaina was on her laptop.
Rolling around to bedtime, we had the airbed set up and due to some simple problems, it was Ashley, Shaina, and me on the mattress. I was ready for bed, but right when it's time- Shaina decides to talk about her relationships. Ashley and I had already heard it before, but I guess since Morgan was there it was a fresh ear for her to talk about it all over again. The conversation lasts quite a while and by the time it's up, I'm uncomfortably hot. Being the silly person I am, I was laying the middle, trapped under a sleeping bag. I managed to pass out at some hour. The day was good until the last hour or so.
DAY 2
I woke up at 8 in a puddle of my sweat. Ashley was already awake which was cool. I changed my shirt, got my sneakers on, and jogged up the New Paltz area. The town's a nice place. There's a lot of places to eat, and a lot of green. After running I decided to do some calisthenics and stretches, which was when someone saw me bent down right in front of them- a little embarrassing, but whatevs.
Ashley let me back in and we had some morning chit-chat before she took her shower. Morgan was up now and she thought I was showered when I was just sweaty- it was kinda funny. After my shower I got to enjoy some penis-shaped pancakes from Morgan. They were pretty good, but the company was even better. We originally planned to go to a place called the Bistro, but we decided to hold that off for tomorrow. Shaina woke up late and when she was ready, we were out.
A couple of shenanigans with gas and Grady later, we were in Woodstock. Woodstock reminded me of a mix of Port Jeff and Amsterdam, which was really sweet. We spent quite some time walking around, trying to find a creek spot Morgan had been to before, but we ended up walking aimlessly. Her friend Gabe met up with us and we just about did the same cycle of walking aimlessly and ending up in town again- good times, haha.
After telling them about me being hungry, we ordered take out at the Garden Cafe in town. Ashley and I waited inside at the bar since I wanted some water. Right around that time I started to feel quite queasy. Right after we picked up the food, I had to go throw up. Thankfully I felt better right after. I figure it was the tea on an empty stomach. We walked around some more while looking for the place. Around that time, Shaina started to get hungry and talked about how she had not eaten since last night. If she had gotten up earlier, she would have gotten pancakes. We ended up driving from the town area to a different area, where there was a popular swimming spot.
We ate in the car and then walked down to the spot. There were quite a few people there, but not too many. I had no intention of swimming, but I rolled up my pants and waded into knee-high depth. My god that water was cold! Morgan went in about wait high, Ashley sat in the shallows by the shore and Gabe dunked himself and swam around. A part of the creek was avoided since there was apparently a large snapping turtle there. It was quite fun there. Shaina got her feet in towards the end and then we walked back. I slipped in some mud, but it was totally worth it after the shenanigans I was up to. At the cars we said goodbye to Gabe and headed toward the apartment.
On the way back we decide that we should do something. A bell rings in my head and what else comes to mind? Bruno! What else says good times like spending time with friends watching a terribly offensive movie? We agree to look up times and plan dinner and such around it.
We agreed on the 7PM showing so we could catch dinner at 6 with Garret after he got home. He ended up have a ton of work to do, so we changed it to the 9PM show to see if he can go later. Shaina also ended up feeling sick(apparently she'd been feeling sick all day, but didn't say anything), so we decided to go pick her something up instead. We told her to just eat watermelon or soup or toast, but she said pizza- not the best choice, but alright.
Ashley and I join Morgan in town and we get a tour of the places and what they serve. Morgan got sushi and Ashley and I went to the pizza place. After quite the wait, we got our stuff and headed for the apartment. On the way back it started to rain... REALLY hard! Our bags and boxes were getting ridiculously soggy as the rain poured, but we got back in one piece. Morgan, Ashley, and I ate together again and it was quite fun. I missed being around Morgan, she's definitely great company. Shaina had a slice of her pizza, and just as expected, it wreaked havoc on her.
Garret ended up not being able to go to the movie, and it turned out it was at 9:30 and not 9. We were also told around 9:05 that it would be best to go soon since it was apparently packed last night. We ask Shaina if she wants to go, but she's on the fence. We ended up leaving without her. I told her to come up with something to do when we got back.
Bruno was a crazy ride. It was hilariously offensive and vulgar to boot. The movie was made even better by the stoned guy behind us offering an unopened Nestle Drumstick and Fererro Rocher candies. The movie went by really quickly, and the ending left us blindsided. I seriously got up and had no idea what to do with my life. On the way out, the car across from us had 2 teens who were making out viciously. It was kind of a hilarious cherry on top of our movie.
Back at the apartment, Shaina was on the computer and Grady was running around with Garret. Shaina didn't come up with anything to do. I proposed Catchphrase since Morgan likes to play it, and Garret was willing to play, but Shaina didn't want to, so we couldn't do a 3-3 with Grady in on it as well. I asked Shaina what she did instead of coming up with an idea. She said she didn't just play WoW and Facebook, so I asked her what she did, which gave me a response of watching Hey Arnold. I was irked that she couldn't come up with anything. Well, not couldn't, but didn't. She asked me to come up with ideas and I threw out Quackdidlioso jokingly and she said that we should play it, but I wasn't serious. I also stated that I was tired of being the one that always comes up with ideas. That was when Garret left, which was a smart move. The conversation seemed to die after that. We watched a few little humor videos and thankfully got out of watching another movie since Morgan didn't have it. We ended up turning the lights off around 12:30-1:00. We all agreed to get up early to go to breakfast with Garret, since he had work at 12 and we wanted to hang out with him as well.
My night was a little rough. Ashley and I were on the Airbed while Shaina and Morgan shared her New Mattress that was delivered. I got really hot again and ended up moving to the floor. I think I ended up sleeping around 2:44. I woke up at 5AM, and then passed out again for the last time.
DAY 3
I got up at 8 again, which was pretty sweet. I woke up Ashley since she asked me to, and then headed out for a morning walk.
I decided to walk around the New Paltz Campus since Morgan said it was nice. The campus didn't disappoint. There was a lot of greenery and a very nice man-made pond. The campus was much bigger than Potsdam haha.
When I got back, I changed clothes while Ashley showered. After some morning chit-chat and packing, Ashley went to wake up Shaina and Morgan while I washed my face. Morgan got up and showered and Shaina was still out. Ashley kept telling her to get up and she finally did. By the time she was ready, it was around 10:45-11:00. Garret drove us to a lot in town and we walked to the Bistro. The place was crowded and it ended up being a 30 minute wait. Garret ended up getting food somewhere else before saying bye to us all. It sucked that we couldn't eat with him, and I was irked again since someone couldn't get up and get ready quicker.
A little more waiting and the Bistro had our table ready. By then, Garret had headed off to work. It really did suck that he couldn't eat with us. The place was nice, with a great set-up. They played 70's and 80's music and had some neat pieces on the walls. The food was good too, which was a plus. We spent our time singing to songs and talking about random things. Weird moment of the day was when we were talking about hypoglycemia. I was talking about a girl from our high school who had it and passed out in a Math class. Right after that story, the SAME girl entered the Bistro! She apparently goes to New Paltz and I had no idea. That was certainly a surprise.
We walked back to the apartment after to hang for a bit before we left for home. Shaina had not packed yet, so we still had to wait for that as well. Morgan, Ashley and I played together on the bed. Morgan took some last moment pictures with us before her camera died. We were being ridiculous, but it was all in good fun since we wouldn't be seeing her again until August. Shaina played on her guitar. I was a little confused as to why she didn't really include herself in the festivities.
When we decided to get going, Shaina got packed up. There was some last minute fumbling, but that was expected. We said our farewells to Morgan, and then a spider was in the car, so I swatted it with a garbage bag. I'm not sure if I killed it though.
The ride home was much better than the ride in. Ashley and I were in the front chit-chatting sans taffy. On the way back I wanted to see the Palisades, but when we got there Shaina said she wanted to get some ASAP because she wasn't feeling well. An hour or so later, she was hungry and without a stop to get things.
The traffic home was decent. There was one terribly congested area which was due to an ambulance, a camper, and a pick-up. After passing that trio, the flow just suddenly picked right up again- ridiculous much. Before we knew it, we were on the L.I.E. and riding our way home.
A few minutes before dropping off Shaina, she proposed we all get ice cream. I asked her if she was sick, and she responded along the lines of "oh yeah." A few things, a guitar and a pair of socks later, Shaina was dropped off at her house.
Ashley then drove me back to my place. On the way, we chatted some more about what she was gonna do for the day and such. We parted ways at my house and I caught up with my family and hung around for a bit. I ended up passing out around the 6:30-7:30 range.
And that was my New Paltz Adventure. My first road trip with Ashley, and the time with Morgan were definitely wonderful experiences and highlights of my summer.
*****END RECAP*****
I woke up at 5 this morning with a bladder full of dreams. Once the dreams were out of my system, I decided I'd stay up and sleep around a reasonable time to keep a decent sleep schedule.
Not much has happened today so far. I started this journal entry this morning and have been typing it on and off throughout the day.
I helped my sister make some Dorayaki today. It was a great little experience. I got to teach her about pancakes and other little gems of wisdom about food. She agreed to walk with me earlier, but that didn't really come to fruition. No worries.
My siblings and I cleaned our garage out some more- we're making some real progress. Once we move the donation stuff out and rearrange some of the weight gear, we'll have a crap load of space in there. It's gonna be sweet.
I didn't get to run today yet, but my brother said he'd go with me around 7:00 PM and it's 6:30 now, so that's something to look forward to. I really enjoy running now. I just like getting into a repeating process and one foot in front of the other is a pretty simple one to follow.
What other adventures do my day hold? I don't know. but I hope they're good.
Flushing Out the Past Week and New Goals
[info]alteine
Before I go on with today, just a recap of yesterday:
I basically didn't do much. I rediscovered my Pandora account via inspiration from Ashley and her Beach Boys station. Apart from that, I went to dinner with Ashley and hung out with her. Can't really remember much from yesterday- I was out of it most of the time for some reason.
Back to today:
I woke up an hour earlier than my alarm clock. I usually lay in the bed after waking for a good 5-10 minutes, but today I decided to embrace the morning. I took a nice morning walk/run for half an hour. It was nice out, despite the lack of sun-- cool weather with a little bit of weight in the air from humidity (if that made sense).
I had breakfast and then chipped away at street fighter- I finally completed a play through, which means I'll soon be good enough to tackle Joe. I've finally become able to bring his health bar considerably lower; it's progress when you can hear buttons smashed violently towards the end of the fight-- shows that I've got him on his toes.
The rest of the day was pretty wishy-washy until around 4. I was asked to run by Christian, and even though I went out earlier, I figured it'd be a good bit of fun. To my own surprise I ran the entire course, 1.4 miles, without stopping. I definitely surprised myself and it felt quite good. I've made it a goal to try for 2 miles by the end of the month. I just have to Google Maps a route later.
The title of the post refers to that little tidbit, and what I'm currently up to. For the past week, I basically ate in a way I usually don't. Processed foods, a lot of savory foods and dishes. While this doesn't sound inherently bad, it's not what I do anymore and it's affected me physically, haha. I'm not talking weight gain, but lethargy, irregularity, dehydration, etc etc. I broke out terribly after the first day where I had Panera and Coldstone haha. The rest of the week the symptoms got worse and worse.
Rather than wait for my body to get used to this lifestyle again, I rather enjoy the way I'm living now. I have more energy and strength, so I'm going on a junk ban for a little while. I'm not afraid of the occasional treat, but I want to wait until the last remnants of the past week passes my system. So, back to the raw side of food for a little bit-- not that I never really diverged... I guess you could say back to bland, haha, which are foods I like anyway- win win?
So I've increased my water intake as well to replenish my body. Hence the title-- I've pissed quite a few times today. *Flush*
~~~

Tomorrow is the day I'm leaving for New Paltz with Ashley to see our friend Morgan for the weekend. I'm excited. She said to bring a swimsuit, but I don't swim, so... oh well? haha.

I have to pee.

Tired of It
[info]alteine
I'm tired of bullshit, but that's already known.

It's still fun to read to a certain extent and get a mild laugh/produce awkward feelings portrayed on my face of "wtf?"

We all know what this is about- even if not immediately, haha.

Time for a jog.

Out-cooking the Kelsey
[info]alteine
Today has been a good day so far. It's mainly because I cooked some. I made some classic pancakes from scratch, and then some banana pecan bread.

What made this all special was the fact that Kelsey had made the same pancake recipe yesterday, but with not-so-desirable results. The first thing she spits out after tasting one is "yours came out better." Hohoho, triumphant indeed that I'm still #1. Competitive maybe, but she'll surpass me one day-- just not anytime soon :).

Following the epic defeat of Kelsey, I got my own ass handed to me in Street Fighter IV on the PS3. I haven't played Street Fighter in a long time and realizing how much I suck now was a major bummer. It took me well over 20 tries to defeat Cammy on medium as Chun-Li. Chun-Li's my favorite, and I totally forgot over time that she's a ranged, defensive fighter, and slow to boot compared to Cammy. Took me FOREVER. I ended up quitting out after defeating Cammy, because I need more practice or I'll never beat anything, including Joe. However, I'll still have all the other fighting games to beat Joe with.

Following the embarrassment of SFIV, I proceeded to make BANANA PECAN BREAD(We didn't have walnuts). Once again, my cooking overcame all, and the bread was delicious. I had to remove half a banana since it got a little TOO ripe... we're talking liquid. We used a square silicone pan since we don't have a loaf pan, so it sort of resembled corn bread in shape. While it baked, I revived my glory as fighting game champion by defeating Joe a few times in Soul Caliber IV. Good Times.

Next up was a GEM. I discovered Cartoon Network has an On Demand menu on iO. Not only that, but they have Flapjack! Not only that, but they had the CANDY CRUISE episode! It was pretty much an orgasm and a half reliving that wonderful tale.

We just finished cleaning out the Garage- we did that for maybe an hour and we'll be doing it again tomorrow. We made a significant dent though. I think we're going to my Aunt's later as well.

I should shower...

That's all for now~

Fourth of July Weekend and a Semi-Recap on My Life
[info]alteine
Keeping up with this new blog with another entry.  Been considering writing one for a while, but it's a hard habit for me to get into.  Maybe I should write one every other day for the next 3 weeks and see how that goes?  Goals and such are a plus.

Let's see, prior to this weekend, I have done quite a bit to keep me busy.  I've done quite a bit of shopping, which included some new running sneakers which I've been needing for some time now(My last pair fell victim to acid during intaglio prints).  I've also hung out with Ashley doing multiple activities revolving around video games, fine dining, tea time, and delicious- DELICIOUS gossip.  We hung out at Ashley's Port Jeff pad too, which was pretty cool.  The house is weird, but the dogs are adorable, albeit the retriever's smelly as sin and the other is a little bit of a sausage.

I just read an entry that Ashley did in her own journal about a dream.  Maybe chronicling dreams here will get me in the habit of blogging.

The past few days of this weekend have been quite special, I'll summarize them in sections...

~~~
Friday:
day was supposed to be my first time gambling at a casino, but my dad changed plans on us, which wasn't too bad.  Instead I got to test out my new Running Shoes in old school fashion-- Jogging.
My older brother, Christian, let me join him on his running route.  I knew I wasn't going to last too long since I don't do endurance running, but I figure it would be something to get into.  I made it about 3/4 of his trail which surprised me quite a bit.  I looked up our route later and found out his route is just around 1.4 miles  which means I actually ran about a mile without dying-- surprise surprise!  It was certainly a highlight, but not the apex of my night.
After the run, we did push ups and the other lot.  What else was to follow? Alcohol of course-  it's not real bonding without it.   got to experience my first "Dr. Pepper," and my first chugging.  I've never chugged, nor do I drink beer, and I'm a light weight.  Needless to say-- I got real drunk, real fast.  I ended up passing out on the couch.  Again, exciting... maybe, but not the Apex... soon.
I woke up a couple of hours later with a pounding headache.  I had dinner plans with Ashley but I knew I was in no condition to make it.  Christian then gave me fries and pizza to eat-- none of which I wanted to put in my body, with good reason.   This headache was INTENSE, and I didn't ant to move, but my bowels did, so I had to force myself to a bathroom asap.  it was then that it hit-- the urge to purge.  Apex Moment:  I ended up throwing up in a bag while shitting on the throne.  Meanwhile this headache is pounding so hard I'm resting my head on the TP Dispenser wondering how I'm gonna wipe... TMI, hohoho.
I managed to get to a bed to lay down (Yes, I wiped and washed).  Where what seemed like 15 mins of laying down, was actually a few hours.  The whole time I had my vomit bag next to the bed.  I ended up tossing up the fries, pizza, and a grilled cheese I had hours ago... odd.  This was all due to me not being a drinker, and having a drink that mixed liquor and beer.  The rest of the night went like any other, except I was up until 5 AM, because that pass out messed up my sleep schedule.
Saturday:
One of the first things I did was apologize to Ashley for standing up our dinner plans.  It was along the lines of "I'm so sorry, I ended up shitting and vomiting at the same time."  We had plans to see a baseball game, but I wasn't in the mood for it after last night's "excitement."  I instead opted that we hang out and play a few games.
Day goes by and after some grilled vegetables, and some lazing around, I ask Ashley for a time and it's agreed to be around 8:30.  come that time I get an errand tossed to me which delays me to 9:30.  I rbing over Resident Evil 5 and Naruto something or other for the PS3.  We played games for a few hours and then we lit some sparklers.  You really don't know how gay you look with a sparkler, until you see someone else with one.  It was pretty much magical.
Post fireworks we went to the diner where I got breakfast-- it was good, but I haven't had so much fatty food in a while (Buttery toast, eggs, pancakes) so I knew I was gonna have something funky go on later.  We drove around for an hour or so in the still of the early morning and then parted our ways.
Sunday:
Grocery shopping, yay!  Aside from that, it was the mildest day of the weekend.  I found out my dad's going through a mid-life crisis again, so he's gonna be away from home for a while.  No biggy.
I ended up ordering a horror movie called Pontypool.  It's a movie about zombies via virus, with a twist.  The movie was interesting, but the ending was very much a wtf moment.  It was all good though, because mom made french fries... haha.
~~~

Today I went running again for a while and I dragged my younger brother, Joe, outside.  It was fun, and after that I did some working out.  That was the highlight of today so far, who knows if anything else comes up.  Food Network Challenge is on... so silly.

Over and Out~
